Remi has been with us for almost 2 weeks and I finally slept more than 6 hours last night. Everyone that knows me knows that I take my sleep very seriously. I prefer ten hours a night but I can function on eight. If I was smart I would keep her downstairs in her kennel, but I feel bad so she sleeps in our room. Not in our bed since we can't trust her to not pee the bed and also maybe because we already have a bed full. Clark the Shih Tzu and Ranger the Mutt gladly hog the bed every night, so she sleeps next to us. No not in her kennel, but in a rubbermaid container.
Yep a rubbermaid and you have to admit she looks pretty comfy. But last night I got rid of the rubbermaid, put up a baby gate, added her bed and a blanket to sleep on, she slept for eight amazing hours. So now I'm thinking maybe that rubbermaid wasn't so comfy and she prefers to move around a bit more.
She has been like having a new baby, not that I would really know. She has been crying in the middle of the night so I rush her outside to "potty". Potty is our word for her to learn to pee and poop outside. I generally look like and ass, baby talking her and yelling "Potty, Remi!!! Go pooootttyy!! Good girl Remi!!" Thank god we live in the country. It generally takes about an hour for her to wind back down and go to sleep because she feels the need to try to eat my hands. But today something glorious happened, she lost her baby teeth. Her front two canines to be exact, you know those super sharp needle like ones. Now the joke is on her because those little gums of hers don't hurt near as bad.
Well let's hope that tonight we can go for the big ten! and maybe it will be a little less painful.
